Wallis Annenberg GenSpace is proud to announce Christopher J. Leech as its new director.
NPR’s Allison Aubrey visits our space and speaks with members about the impact that GenSpace has had on their lives. 
The USC Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy partnered with GenSpace to support members through physical exercises and modifications. Over the summer, interns Alena Cardwell, Adriana De Paz, and Lena Li completed a 12-week placement, enhancing members’ quality of life and highlighting occupational therapy’s benefits for older adults.
At GenSpace, we connect future leaders with older adults to foster mutual learning and reshape perceptions of aging. Through our partnership with the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology, students gain hands-on experience in our community. Recently, a graduate intern led a two-part workshop on nutrition, teaching members about the link between diet and longevity while offering practical tips for healthier living.
In partnership with USC, GenSpace welcomed interns from the Leonard Davis School of Gerontology and the Chan Division of Occupational Science and Therapy. These interns brought fresh perspectives on healthy living, longevity, and daily wellness through occupational therapy and nutrition workshops.
Wallis Annenberg GenSpace teamed up with Chargers’ Pro Safety, Derwin James to host Derwin’s Disco Homecoming.
GenSpace is proud to welcome new volunteers to provide support and assistance to our members. 
Wallis Annenberg GenSpace hosted Aging 360, a workshop in partnership with Susanne Stadler, Co-Founder of At Home With Growing Older.
GenSpace is partnering with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) for a three-part series including collage, fabric-dyeing, and sketching.
Studies show that as of July 2022, food insecurity in Los Angeles County affected a quarter of the population – a 10% increase from the prior year. And while the United States Department of Agriculture defines food insecurity as “a lack of consistent access to sufficient food,” the reality is much more complex.
GenSpace went country for its winter dance! Members donned their best country attire to cut a rug at the Holiday Hoedown. 
GenSpace was happy to celebrate its members and volunteers last month with a bingo and magic Night! Members and staff wore their favorite costumes and were treated to a couple of rounds of bingo, a magic show and other activities, in this special celebration.
GenSpace has started our first-ever music program – the long-awaited GenSpace Voices choir program with instructor Kristie Toomath! 
This past week, GenSpace staff visited St. Vincent Meals on Wheels (SVMOW) for a tour of the organization’s kitchen and operating facilities and to learn more about the organization’s work to feed older Angelenos. 
GenSpace staff were invited to participate in promoting GenSpace at the YMCA’s 2nd annual Trunk or Treat event at the Anderson Munger Family YMCA in Koreatown.
Wallis Annenberg GenSpace is thrilled to announce six new occupational therapy interns. The new interns are part of our continued partnership with the University of Southern California Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy.
